The cast iron block, huge fillet radius crankshaft, tri-metal bearings, 9.3:1 pistons, updated TKS carburetor calibration, 140F degree thermostat, NGK spark plugs, and 1.5:1 rocker arms were all made entirely of Quicksilver parts. Black-X valves, screw-in studs, hardened seats, and a unique Quicksilver combustion chamber that permits 4 deg BTDC base timing are all features of Quicksilver cast iron cylinder heads. Low oil pressure, low drive lubricant levels, and overheating are all indicated by an audio warning bell.
